Registered Massage Therapy ... relaxation * pain relief * body awareness * optimal health and well-being

Massage therapy has many health benefits. Registered Massage Therapists mainly use Swedish massage techniques such as kneading and gentle stretching to alleviate muscle tension and soreness, improve joint health and mobility, and reduce swelling. Other physical benefits of massage include supporting the healing process and immune system functioning, and encouraging optimal scar formation.

But, equally important, massage therapy can improve mental wellness, as it can help to reduce depression and anxiety and create greater mind-body awareness.

Massage therapy for women in the childbearing years is the focus at Nurturing Nomad. Maternity massage therapy addresses the physiological and emotional changes and challenges a woman typically experiences before, during and after labour to help alleviate associated discomforts and promote a sense of well-being.
